Ms. Meeker is a Licensed Professional Counselor and provides clinical services for the following states: Arkansas, Georgia, and Missouri.
She earned her Master’s of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology and her B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Sociology from Methodist College. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice for the past 20 years and is honored to be a part of the DivaDiversity team as an independent provider. She has 35 years of experience working in the mental health field in various capacities, from on-line staff to clinical director.
She is most grateful for her two years of employment as a primary therapist at the Masters and Johnson Outpatient Clinic in St. Louis, MO where she was trained extensively in relational and sex therapy, sexual trauma, dissociative disorders, sexual compulsivity and sexual perpetration. Leslie is committed to providing a judgement free, sex-positive therapy environment for individuals and partners to address emotional and sexual issues openly, whether related to depression, anxiety or trauma, or more specifically related to sexual desire discrepancies, arousal issues, sexual knowledge or functionality, sexual orientation, gender identification or alternative relationship and sexual lifestyle choices.
She believes strongly that one’s physical, sexual, mental and emotional health are interdependent and she guides each client with the hope that they may find safety, sanctuary and pleasure within their bodies and experience mastery and ownership of their bodies. One of her favorite projects was writing an advice column for three years about sex and relationships for a small independent newspaper. She enjoys fitness, loves animals, and being outdoors.
