Dr. Liu holds a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and is a registered Psychological Assistant through the California Board of Psychology. She has successfully completed a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor’s degree in General Psychology. She works under the supervision of licensed Psychologist, Dr. Claire Reclosado-Baclay (PSY31428).
Dr. Liu is bilingual and offers therapy in Cantonese and English. As an experienced clinical psychotherapist for over 15 years, her theoretical orientation is in TEAM-CBT where she integrates other therapeutic approaches including Brief Therapy, Process Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Art Therapy and Hypnotherapy to clients suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD, phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trichotillomania, adjustment disorder, eating disorder, gambling, somatic symptom disorder, insomnia disorder, and low self-esteem and personal growth.
Dr. Liu has hosted a weekly mental health program at the South San Francisco Radio Broadcast Station to raise awareness in the Asian community. She is passionate about delivering a positive perspective and direction to her clients. She believes that all individuals have the ability to make positive changes to live more meaningful and fulfilling lives.
